Graig Sampson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Roman Chapman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Birmingham FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jamesburg AFC:s goal. Rosario Dempsey charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosario Dempsey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jamesburg AFC's Erik Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Graig Sampson struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Roman Chapman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamesburg AFC. The Jamesburg AFC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Jamesburg AFC's Erik Torres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Birmingham FC's Roman Chapman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Birmingham FC from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Graig Sampson to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Birmingham FC's Russ Silver got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute Graig Sampson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Chapman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57thth minute of the game Erik Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birmingham FC's Roman Chapman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Jeffrey Johnston was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Birmingham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jamesburg AFC the free kick. Roman Chapman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graig Sampson in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Graig Sampson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roman Chapman. Birmingham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Graig Sampson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Graig Sampson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Graig Sampson notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Birmingham FC's Roman Chapman. Roman Chapman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeffrey Johnston was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Birmingham FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jeffrey Johnston hit a great ball. Graig Sampson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Jamesburg AFC were the better team. Jamesburg AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
