Spectators: 7467 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 10) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Denny McClellan made the kick off which started today's match. Denny McClellan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marshall Rowell having to interfere. In the 5th minute Emmanuel Blalock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Cottrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derrick Zimmer succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Fresno FC's zone, Denny McClellan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marshall Rowell came out of the goal and Denny McClellan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derrick Zimmer in the 12th minute of play forced Kahului's goalkeeper Stanton Cottrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Derrick Zimmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Kahului's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Lassiter came free, but Stanton Cottrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kahului's Stanton Cottrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derrick Zimmer in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Fresno FC's Derrick Zimmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stanton Cottrell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Derrick Zimmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kahului's zone, Derrick Zimmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanton Cottrell came out of the goal and Derrick Zimmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derrick Zimmer in the 33rd minute of play forced Kahului's goalkeeper Stanton Cottrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Derrick Zimmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanton Cottrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derrick Zimmer in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Derrick Zimmer to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Fresno FC's Derrick Zimmer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Stanton Cottrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derrick Zimmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rdth minute of the game Derrick Zimmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kahului's Stanton Cottrell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Derrick Zimmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emmitt Ledford during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kahului getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Emmitt Ledford hit a great ball. Derrick Zimmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Stanton Cottrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fresno FC's Derrick Zimmer in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kahului's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th minute of the match, Derrick Zimmer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stanton Cottrell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Denny McClellan charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denny McClellan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stanton Cottrell made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Emmanuel Blalock sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Waite in the 91st minute of play forced Kahului's goalkeeper Stanton Cottrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Emmanuel Blalock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanton Cottrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.
