The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the match, Vadnais Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Vaughan came free, but Stefan Hale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Utica United's zone, Philip Mathis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Daley came out of the goal and Philip Mathis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Utica United's Fernando Daley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Utica United from getting a goal against them. Eli Yates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vadnais Heights's Stefan Hale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocco Layton in the 83rd minute of play. If Gilberto Vaughan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94thth minute of the game Rocco Layton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vadnais Heights's Stefan Hale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
