Darius Morgan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Julian Gorman made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Stoughton's Dwight Dotson got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jayson Zeigler in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donald May prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cary Rowley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute, Cary Rowley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in South Santa Rosa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! After having played for 83 minutes, Dwight Dotson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stoughton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dwight Dotson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Sherwood Welsh notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of South Santa Rosa's Julian Gorman. Julian Gorman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julian Gorman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cary Rowley in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, South Santa Rosa's goal looked a bit too open when Cary Rowley came free, but Julian Gorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Sherwood Welsh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stoughton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Santa Rosa the free kick. A hard shot by Kermit Pritchett from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Donald May's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. There was no doubt that Stoughton were the better team. Stoughton's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
