Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Houston Hoyt kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Holden's goalkeeper Brent Carlisle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Holden's zone, Houston Hoyt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brent Carlisle came out of the goal and Houston Hoyt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brent Carlisle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Houston Hoyt went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 8thth minute of the game Junior Duke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holden's Brent Carlisle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ohioville FC's Shane Newell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roosevelt Kendrick in the 16th minute of play. If Junior Duke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ohioville FC's Houston Hoyt in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Holden's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Shane Newell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Holden getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Wilbur Swenson hit a great ball. Junior Duke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brent Carlisle having to interfere. Hunter Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Garret Atkins kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The supporters of Ohioville FC booed when Holden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucien Wooten didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Junior Duke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ohioville FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Duke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brent Carlisle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Houston Hoyt, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Holden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Garret Atkins was slow to take the kick. During this time Ohioville FC's players had a chance to rest. When Richard Caudill fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ohioville FC's protests and gave Richard Caudill a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Ohioville FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Caudill. After having played for 69 minutes, Roosevelt Kendrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roosevelt Kendrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roosevelt Kendrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Holden's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
