Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Winchester FC's Karl Collins started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Erik Seay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Winchester FC and the Cathedral City AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erik Seay hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mohammed Glover made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Lucien Norris sent off a good shot on target. When Lucien Norris came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Cathedral City AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucien Norris couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Karl Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winchester FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Collins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hal Simpson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Winchester FC's Karl Collins got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucien Norris scored 2-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mohammed Glover, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Myles Bachman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mohammed Glover, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Winchester FC's Roland Malloy got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Myles Bachman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl Collins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes, Ryan Patton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cathedral City AFC and the Winchester FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karl Collins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hal Simpson having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 51 minutes of play Cathedral City AFC's Ryan Patton was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 52nd match minute, Cathedral City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan Patton to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Erik Seay got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Winchester FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Taylor Waddell hit a great ball. Ramiro Edmondson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roland Malloy hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, one of Winchester FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Winchester FC. Lucien Norris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mohammed Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hal Simpson was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Karl Collins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karl Collins really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. In the 73rd minute Lucien Norris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammed Glover saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hal Simpson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucien Norris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Winchester FC defense, Lucien Norris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohammed Glover. The Winchester FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohammed Glover should have stopped the shot. Winchester FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
