Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ross Stinson kicked off to start the match. Dan Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Louie Keenan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolf Spaulding blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Keenan having to make a save. If Rolf Spaulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hank Brewer hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Rolf Spaulding notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Monstars fc's Louie Keenan. Louie Keenan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ross Stinson in the 19th minute of play forced South Plainfield's goalkeeper Bart Walton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Keys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bart Walton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ross Stinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bart Walton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, South Plainfield's goal looked a bit too open when Ross Stinson came free, but Bart Walton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Ross Stinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Walton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Quintana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louie Keenan having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Dan Quintana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Louie Keenan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, South Plainfield's goal looked a bit too open when Ross Stinson came free, but Bart Walton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When South Plainfield's Rolf Spaulding in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monstars fc's goalie prevented a goal. The Monstars fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. South Plainfield were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolf Spaulding to strike the kick off in the second half. Louie Keenan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Spaulding in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 53 minutes, Rolf Spaulding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Plainfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Spaulding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bart Walton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ross Stinson's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 64 minutes of play, Monstars fc's Ross Stinson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bart Walton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dan Quintanas short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Louie Keenan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Monstars fc's Louie Keenan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Monstars fc from getting a goal against them. In the 75th match minute, South Plainfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lance Keys in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bart Walton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 86 minutes, Ross Stinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monstars fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ross Stinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Bolden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louie Keenan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Monstars fc got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Montoya. In the 93rd minute, Allan Vargas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Monstars fc's Louie Keenan didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Spaulding in the 96th minute of play forced Monstars fc's goalkeeper Louie Keenan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The South Plainfield supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing South Plainfield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
