Brett Buddle kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Margate City's Lazaro Grove broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Morgan Walsh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Veltman having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Dirk Skaggs made a precise shot to the right of Zackary Veltman. NGA Verona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Errol McClellan during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Dirk Skaggs came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Margate City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Skaggs couldn't finish the play. A collision led to NGA Verona getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alfred Dudley hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes NGA Verona got a freekick which was hit by Connor Stallings. In the 23rd minute Morgan Walsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zackary Veltman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Sexton made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Jessie Countess sent off a good shot on target. After 37 played minutes NGA Verona got a freekick which was hit by Moses Benedict. Morgan Walsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Skaggs in the 41st minute of play forced NGA Verona's goalkeeper Zackary Veltman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilmer Gant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Sexton having to interfere. Margate City's Norberto Sexton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Margate City from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Morgan Walsh to strike the kick off in the second half. Norberto Sexton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilmer Gant in the 55th minute of play. Jessie Countess recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Margate City's Arturo McFadden got a free kick in the 60th minute. Morgan Walsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, NGA Verona's Jessie Countess sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Sexton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jessie Countess in the 72nd minute of play forced Margate City's goalkeeper Norberto Sexton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Margate City's Norberto Sexton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilmer Gant in the 75th minute of play. During the 78th minute of the match Errol McClellan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Errol McClellan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 78th minute, one of Margate City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Margate City. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for NGA Verona. Cole MacFarland stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Norberto Sexton. 2-1. Jessie Countess received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Norberto Sexton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91stth minute of the game Jessie Countess who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Margate City's Norberto Sexton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in NGA Verona's zone, Dirk Skaggs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Veltman came out of the goal and Dirk Skaggs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Margate City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for NGA Verona.
