Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kerry Dickey took the kick off in the first half of the match. Metter's Greg Moseley got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greg Moseley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Metter's Romeo Norris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Huang in the 15th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Greg Moseley rounded St. James FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 25 played minutes Metter got a freekick which was hit by Young Connors. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metter's goalkeeper Romeo Norris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Metter's Pete Costello threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Greg Moseley, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, St. James FC's Daryl Swanson got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Daryl Swanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clint Blount received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Romeo Norris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmed Childers hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Kerry Dickey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Norris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes, Cole Bearden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metter and the St. James FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Cole Bearden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to St. James FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gerard Solomon hit a great ball. If Kerry Dickey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Daryl Swanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

52 minutes into the match, St. James FC's goal looked a bit too open when Young Connors came free, but Pete Costello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, St. James FC's Kerry Dickey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeo Norris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute Donnie Velez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Costello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cole Bearden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to St. James FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Daryl Swanson hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Metter's Donnie Velez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pete Costello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pete Costello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metter. Clint Blount sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kerry Dickey came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the St. James FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerry Dickey couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Metter getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Cole Bearden hit a great ball. Young Connors kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. During the 71st minute of the match Cole Bearden completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cole Bearden a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of St. James FC booed when Metter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cole Bearden didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kerry Dickey came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the St. James FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerry Dickey couldn't finish the play. Metter's Donnie Velez got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Clint Blount managed to get in a good position for a shot. St. James FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clint Blount was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Norris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clint Blount fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Norris having to interfere. Pete Costello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donnie Velez in the 94th minute of the match. St. James FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
