Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kerry Dickey made the kick off and thus started the match. Pete Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodney Pace, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With his leg Woody Hinkle managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when St. James FC's Daryl Swanson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Woody Hinkle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Dickey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daryl Swanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vancouver FC's Woody Hinkle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Vancouver FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, St. James FC's Daryl Swanson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Bernardo Huang kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Woody Hinkle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Dickey in the 35th minute of play. Daryl Swanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Woody Hinkle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clint Blount sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bernardo Huang in the 44th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Woody Hinkle kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 3-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 59th minute Rodney Pace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vancouver FC's zone, Kerry Dickey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Woody Hinkle came out of the goal and Kerry Dickey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vancouver FC's Woody Hinkle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Solomon in the 63rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vancouver FC's zone, Kerry Dickey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Woody Hinkle came out of the goal and Kerry Dickey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When St. James FC's Daryl Swanson in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Ruben Valentine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When St. James FC's Daryl Swanson in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Morgan Strange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pete Costello was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. If Kerry Dickey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Woody Hinkle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kerry Dickey's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kerry Dickey in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Woody Hinkle saved Vancouver FC from getting behind. Pete Costello came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Vancouver FC's Ruben Valentine. But to his dismay, Ruben Valentine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Rodney Pace struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Pete Costello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vancouver FC. When the referee ended the match the St. James FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
