Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Torrington's Brady Sellers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Blair Cramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Scottie Reeves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scottie Reeves made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Brady Sellers sent off a good shot on target. Blair Cramer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scottie Reeves having to interfere. Scottie Reeves made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Brady Sellers sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Palm River's zone, Brady Sellers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scottie Reeves came out of the goal and Brady Sellers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Brady Sellers came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Torrington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brady Sellers couldn't finish the play. After 25 minutes, Davis Dewitt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palm River and the Torrington players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Torrington booed when Palm River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davis Dewitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Mohammad Washington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torrington's Tobias Branch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brady Sellers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Scottie Reeves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Blair Cramer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torrington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Cramer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brady Sellers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Palm River's goalkeeper Scottie Reeves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brady Sellers. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohammad Washington made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt Glenn during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brady Sellers in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Scottie Reeves saved Palm River from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Washington in the 73rd minute of play forced Torrington's goalkeeper Tobias Branch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Torrington's Brady Sellers in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palm River's goalie prevented a goal. Max McNeill kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Donnie Peck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torrington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palm River the free kick. The supporters of Palm River booed when Torrington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donnie Peck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donnie Peck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Palm River's zone, Brady Sellers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scottie Reeves came out of the goal and Brady Sellers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palm River were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Torrington's much stronger midfield.
