Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Renato McGowan made the kick off which started today's match. Wallace Goodrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jackson Plummer stood somewhat misplaced when Renato McGowan came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. When C.D. Santa Clara's Mitchell Fenton in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Village FC's goalie prevented a goal. Mitchell Fenton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wallace Goodrich who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Jackson Plummer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. C.D. Santa Clara's Grant Beckman got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Village FC's Renato McGowan got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, The Village FC's Wallace Goodrich got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of C.D. Santa Clara booed when The Village FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Perdue didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Grant Beckman managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D. Santa Clara's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant Beckman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Jacobsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Ricky Sloan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Len Bonner, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to The Village FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jack Perdue hit a great ball. If Grant Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Jacobsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitchell Fenton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Renato McGowan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the The Village FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato McGowan couldn't finish the play. Renato McGowan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jackson Plummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mitchell Fenton to make the kick off. The Village FC's Renato McGowan suffered a sprained foot after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 53 minutes into the game, Joe Burnham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.D. Santa Clara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Village FC the free kick. After 54 played minutes C.D. Santa Clara got a freekick which was hit by Joe Burnham. When Wallace Goodrich came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the The Village FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wallace Goodrich couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as C.D. Santa Clara's Mitchell Fenton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hugo Jacobsen. That made the score 1-1 after 60 minutes of play. Hugo Jacobsen made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Grant Beckman sent off a good shot on target. If Wallace Goodrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, C.D. Santa Clara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Beckman to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the game, The Village FC's Jack Perdue nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jackson Plummer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ricky Sloan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Grant Beckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Jacobsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitchell Fenton in the 90th minute of play. Hugo Jacobsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grant Beckman in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.D. Santa Clara players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Village FC.
