The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stacy Washburn helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Flash booed when Cottonwhistle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stacy Washburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeffrey Law showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarrod Whitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Jeffrey Law made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarrod Whitt in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute Jarrod Whitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Law saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeffrey Law took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarrod Whitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stephan Simmons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Cottonwhistle's goal looked a bit too open when Jarrod Whitt came free, but Jeffrey Law reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeffrey Law stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willie Hale's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. If Willie Hale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jarrod Whitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute of the match Dexter Rodgers shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeffrey Law showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephan Simmons stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55th play minutes Stephan Simmons shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Stephan Caudill and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarrod Whitt in the 58th minute of play forced Cottonwhistle's goalkeeper Jeffrey Law to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willie Hales short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Jeffrey Law to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jarrod Whitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willie Hale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jeffrey Law tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Flash's Willie Hale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeffrey Law narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Aurelio Wiseman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes, Flash's Junior Stern shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jeffrey Law came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flash reached it. Tad Wilburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Caudill having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Oscar Wells hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarrod Whitt might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeffrey Law. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarrod Whitt ran back to his position shaking his head. When Willie Hale came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Flash fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willie Hale couldn't finish the play. Jarrod Whitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tad Wilburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cottonwhistle booed when Flash was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Velez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarrod Whitt succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. The Cottonwhistle fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flash were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
