Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mill Creek's Leroy Kauffman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Vance Akins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martin Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warner Alston having to interfere. Deon Jernigan hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Warner Alston was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alistair Gustafson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Martin Ritchie struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Warner Alston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malad City FC. When Kristopher Darling fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malad City FC's protests and gave Kristopher Darling a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Malad City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Darling to maneuver through the defense. Bryon Lozano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Nunn in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Malad City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leroy Kauffman came free, but Bryon Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mill Creek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alistair Gustafson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alistair Gustafson in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Warner Alston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 56th minute, Martin Ritchie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Warner Alston was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Aldo Sousa's late challenge caught a Malad City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mill Creek getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Aldo Sousa hit a great ball. Alberto Nunn might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bryon Lozano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Nunn ran back to his position shaking his head. Malad City FC's Bryon Lozano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leroy Kauffman in the 65th minute of play. Martin Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Mill Creek got a freekick which was hit by Vance Akins. Martin Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matt Begay during the 75th minute. Bryon Lozano had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Deon Jernigan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Deon Jernigan took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bryon Lozano. Bryon Lozano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. A collision led to Mill Creek getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Steven Quintero hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Alistair Gustafson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malad City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alistair Gustafson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Kauffman in the 92nd minute of play forced Malad City FC's goalkeeper Bryon Lozano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mill Creek's Vance Akins suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Kristopher Darling was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. In the 96th match minute, Malad City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Darling to maneuver through the defense.
