A collision led to Paris-Saint-German getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Antony Jarrell hit a great ball. With 23 minutes on the clock, Bronson Watts commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paris-Saint-German fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! If Bernie Fontenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Cooley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Benito Lawrence made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Cooley to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Paris-Saint-German got a freekick which was hit by Steven Godwin. After a defensive mix-up in Paris-Saint-German's zone, Robin Cooley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Lawrence came out of the goal and Robin Cooley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
