Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucien Kerr started the match with the kick off. Marc Looney who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Dallas Kirkpatrick when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 4th match minute, Collegedale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Daly to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Lonnie Crow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaiah Steward, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Weldon Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Dallas Kirkpatrick managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Temple City's Marc Looney fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 13thth minute of the game Ernesto Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Temple City's Ray Cunningham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Collegedale AFC's Dallas Kirkpatrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiah Kemp in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Lucien Kerr put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ray Cunningham. When Temple City's Weldon Rosas in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Kerr in the 47th minute of play forced Temple City's goalkeeper Ray Cunningham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Salas hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Weldon Rosas to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Ernesto Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Weldon Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 minutes, Antony Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Temple City and the Collegedale AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, one of Temple City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Temple City. Norbert Paul walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucien Kerr in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Cunningham saved Temple City from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Weldon Rosas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dallas Kirkpatrick was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After having played for 78 minutes, Marc Looney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temple City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Looney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Temple City's zone, Ernesto Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Cunningham came out of the goal and Ernesto Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Ernesto Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ray Cunningham. Temple City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Lucien Kerr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dallas Kirkpatrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Weldon Rosas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dallas Kirkpatrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Looney in the 97th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Collegedale AFC's zone, Marc Looney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dallas Kirkpatrick came out of the goal and Marc Looney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Collegedale AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
