Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Scottie Salinas to make the kick off. Wilford Gordon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andy Neff. Cookeville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Quack Pack's Jimmy Baker got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Reginald Moser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Quack Pack's goal looked a bit too open when Scottie Salinas came free, but Darius Staley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Freddie Libby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quack Pack's Darius Staley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Freddie Libby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Baker charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Cookeville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Scottie Salinas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reginald Moser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Neff having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Cookeville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.P. Dillard to maneuver through the defense. If Sherman Randolph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reginald Moser hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Freddie Libby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darius Staley having to make a save. In the 95th minute Freddie Libby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darius Staley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scottie Salinas in the 96th minute of play forced Quack Pack's goalkeeper Darius Staley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
