Del Pujols hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Bryce Lopes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Fontenot. West Homestead's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryce Lopes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The West Homestead players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Othello were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bryce Lopes was the one to do the kick off. Bryce Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Fontenot having to interfere. Leon Fontenot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taylor Calderwood in the 54th minute of play. Milo Doud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryce Lopes got free with Leon Fontenot in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Leon Fontenot managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Othello's Bryce Lopes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th minute, Claudio Roper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bryce Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Othello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryce Lopes couldn't finish the play. Bryce Lopes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Leon Fontenot skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Noah Duarte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leon Fontenot. West Homestead's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Del Pujols kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Taylor Calderwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milton Ruiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Taylor Calderwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Othello's supporters rose to their feet, but Taylor Calderwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Fontenot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bryce Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Othello's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
