The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. North Conway's Elvis Cormier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Meredith in the 4th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match, Vance Barr got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adalberto Church was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Charlotte FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Odell Blackman ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 25 minutes, Percy Kearns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Conway and the Charlotte FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes North Conway got a freekick which was hit by Percy Kearns. Elvis Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Meredith in the 26th minute of the match. Nicky Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Adalberto Church tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Charlotte FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dominic Meredith made the kick off in the second half. Christopher Clifton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Elvis Cormier made a huge save. Elvis Cormier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominic Meredith, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. North Conway's Elvis Cormier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Meredith in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of North Conway booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Starks didn't get a good kick on the ball. North Conway's attentive Percy Kearns managed to snatch the ball when Antonio Lay made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. If Gregg Hammons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Clifton got free with Elvis Cormier in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vance Barr in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adalberto Church saved Charlotte FC from getting behind. Elvis Cormier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Meredith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvis Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Meredith in the 95th minute of the match. North Conway's Elvis Cormier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save North Conway from getting a goal against them. Charlotte FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over North Conway's much stronger midfield.
