STERLING F.C's Aurelio Trimble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickie Connor in the 47th minute of play. The STERLING F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Roxboro were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Louie Storr to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Trimble was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dean Kurtz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. Roxboro's Basil Hopkins got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, STERLING F.C's Aurelio Trimble got control of the ball when Raymond Curry tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Aurelio Trimble successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 92 minutes into the game, Jared Ogden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STERLING F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roxboro the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Jared Ogden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roxboro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
