After a defensive mix-up in Goodlettsville's zone, Josh McCain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moses Matlock came out of the goal and Josh McCain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sol Kearns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlton FC's Brent Chu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josh McCain succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 39th playminute.
