Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clinton Longoria started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7thth minute of the game Jack Clifford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Culichi's Alec York was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Scott Kruse kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Jack Clifford sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alec York skillfully saved the ball. Clinton Longoria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Moody having to interfere. Culichi's Alec York played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Clifford in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Glenn Maldonado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alec York showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Driver, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Colorado Rapids getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Norman Alley hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Clinton Longoria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Colorado Rapids's Gerry Tripp got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute, Jack Clifford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colorado Rapids fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Culichi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Colorado Rapids were winning 0-1.

Colorado Rapids's Rupert Parra was substituted for Jack Clifford. Micah Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Neal Dawkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute, Tomas Park hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clinton Longoria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alec York took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Parra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Colorado Rapids's Rupert Parra in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Culichi's goalie prevented a goal. Glen Crum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 minutes, Emmitt Pineda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colorado Rapids and the Culichi players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Culichi's Clinton Longoria in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colorado Rapids's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clinton Longoria in the 87th minute of play forced Colorado Rapids's goalkeeper Tim Moody to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Park had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clinton Longoria in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Moody saved Colorado Rapids from getting behind. Tim Moody made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clinton Longoria in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Colorado Rapids were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Culichi side.
