Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglass Gilbert in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Davies prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Robbinsdale's Stacey Norman threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Hendrix, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Heriberto Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglass Gilbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lawrence Meier scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roland Davies, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Hendrix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacey Norman having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Stonewood got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Meier. Benjamin Hendrix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Stacey Norman made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Stonewood's Jamel Stinson got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Robbinsdale's Scot Pulliam ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stacey Norman. Stacey Norman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 30 minutes into the match, Robbinsdale's goal looked a bit too open when Douglass Gilbert came free, but Roland Davies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stacey Norman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Hendrix in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute, Lawrence Meier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Davies was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The supporters of Robbinsdale booed when Stonewood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamel Stinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Hendrix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Gilbert in the 53rd minute of play forced Robbinsdale's goalkeeper Roland Davies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Benjamin Hendrix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stonewood's Stacey Norman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Stonewood's Douglass Gilbert made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglass Gilbert during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Douglass Gilbert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Roland Davies was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Douglass Gilbert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 71 minute of play. In the 76th minute, Douglass Gilbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Johns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Roland Davies made a huge save. Stonewood's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
