Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robbie Bradshaw kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sandpoint's zone, Donald Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Vilter came out of the goal and Donald Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the game, Robbie Bradshaw recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norbert Vilter. Robbie Bradshaw showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Norbert Vilter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Bradshaw in the 10th minute of the match. Robbie Bradshaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Norbert Vilter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Sandpoint got a freekick which was hit by Antony Calderon. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deshawn Crowell in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Rosenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, Joseph Blum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benny Rosenberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 26 played minutes Torrington got a freekick which was hit by Mark Calcagnini. In the 28th minute, Deshawn Crowell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Casey Dickinson fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandpoint's protests and gave Casey Dickinson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sandpoint's Casey Dickinson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute of the match Von Barr shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norbert Vilter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Donald Santana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 40 minutes into the match, Torrington's Robbie Bradshaw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norbert Vilter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donald Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Milan Swenson made a kick off. Devon Zapata kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Sandpoint's Casey Dickinson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benny Rosenberg but with some difficulty. If Milan Swenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Antony Calderon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. A collision led to Sandpoint getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Antony Calderon hit a great ball. Norbert Vilter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie Bradshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Norbert Vilter came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Torrington's Donald Santana. But to his dismay, Donald Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Norbert Vilter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Santana in the 77th minute of the match. Joseph Blum charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph Blum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sandpoint's Joseph Blum got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandpoint's goalkeeper Norbert Vilter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Deshawn Crowell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandpoint's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deshawn Crowell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torrington's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
