Spectators: 7336 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Winston Wade made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Royse City getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Winston Wade hit a great ball. Alfonzo Nava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everett Newell in the 4th minute of the match. Royse City's Alfonzo Nava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Deering in the 6th minute of play. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Woodrow Lefler with Ruben Fox as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rene Deering sped through Royse City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfonzo Nava. Rene Deering struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alfonzo Nava didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Payson. Alfonzo Nava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Deering in the 26th minute of the match. Tyrone Burris charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyrone Burris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Tyrone Burris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Ruben Fox fired a really elegant long shot, but Deshawn Holmes threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Marcellus Kelley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alfonzo Nava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Lucas Keene hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ruben Fox came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Royse City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Fox couldn't finish the play. With his leg Deshawn Holmes managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Royse City's Winston Wade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Deering to make the kick off. Alfonzo Nava came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Payson's Rene Deering. But to his dismay, Rene Deering quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 62 played minutes Royse City got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Keene. Alfonzo Nava showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Deering, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Lucas Navarro in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Payson's Tyrone Burris. If Marcellus Kelley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Rene Deering made a precise shot to the right of Alfonzo Nava. Royse City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Nick Weeks lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Royse City! If Ruben Fox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Royse City's Alfonzo Nava got control of the ball when Rene Deering tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Keene in the 98th minute of play forced Payson's goalkeeper Deshawn Holmes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
