Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Payson's Rene Deering started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Payson booed when Bellows Falls AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristopher Gleason didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Rene Deering managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Payson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Deering was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcellus Kelley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Rene Deering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cruz Coyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Deering's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Noel Duff notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Payson's Deshawn Holmes. Deshawn Holmes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Payson getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. The wind increased when Aaron Kilgore made the kick off in the second half. Francesco Maddens short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Deshawn Holmes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Payson's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Aaron Kilgore scored to the left of an out of position Deshawn Holmes, making the score, 1-2. Cruz Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcellus Kelley, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Bellows Falls AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tod Flanagan. In the 70th minute, Rene Deering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Payson's goalkeeper Deshawn Holmes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francesco Madden. In the 77th match minute, Payson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcellus Kelley to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes of play, Bellows Falls AFC's Francesco Madden made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Deshawn Holmes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, Rene Deering made a precise shot to the right of Cruz Coyle. Bellows Falls AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. With a little luck, Payson's Deshawn Holmes got control of the ball when Noel Duff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Payson were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
