Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kirk Gallagher, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ward Castaneda hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Leroy Key had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Young Fletcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Conover's zone, Nicholas Winter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kirk Gallagher came out of the goal and Nicholas Winter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Nicholas Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Gallagher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Steeleville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathaniel Larson came free, but Christopher Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leroy Key had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steeleville AFC's Young Fletcher got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Young Fletcher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steeleville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Young Fletcher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirk Gallagher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute Nicholas Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Gallagher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Young Fletcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Gallagher having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicholas Winter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Conover was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyson Bright to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes Steeleville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremiah Adkins. In the 68th minute Leroy Key shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicholas Winter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Kirk Gallagher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyson Bright charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyson Bright the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Tyson Bright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nathaniel Larson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Conover getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Rodger McNair hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Conover got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Pritchett. In the 88th match minute, Conover was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyson Bright to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Young Fletcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Gallagher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kirk Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Young Fletcher in the 90th minute of play. Young Fletcher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kirk Gallagher having to make a save. Rob Woodard kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Milo Saunders was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 98th minute, Young Fletcher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kirk Gallagher was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Steeleville AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Conover had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
