Johnathan Dunlap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sturtevant AFC. In the 14th minute, Shawn Dupree hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Asher McKay sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sturtevant AFC's Allan Childress didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocco Murdock in the 18th minute of play forced Sturtevant AFC's goalkeeper Allan Childress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Chester struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Johnathan Dunlap didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sturtevant AFC. C.J. Osborn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Johnathan Dunlap made a huge save. Filiberto Littlejohn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnathan Dunlap having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Oliver in the 28th minute of play forced Sturtevant AFC's goalkeeper Allan Childress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Natsville Narwhals booed when Sturtevant AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hal Prince didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Terry Luna put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Sturtevant AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Natsville Narwhals:s goal. Allan Childress went to the wrong direction when Asher McKay was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Johnathan Dunlap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Chester in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Hal Prince fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Johnathan Dunlap, passed just outside the right post. A hard shot 44 in the game by Julio Chester from a close distance when the talented Johnathan Dunlap managed to make a qualified save. Natsville Narwhals's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Julio Chester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sturtevant AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Chester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathan Dunlap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Johnathan Dunlap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hal Prince, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Johnathan Dunlap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Chester in the 53rd minute of play. Sturtevant AFC's Julio Chester got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Julio Chester notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Natsville Narwhals's Johnathan Dunlap. Johnathan Dunlap was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Curtis Benton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hal Prince's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnathan Dunlap read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Natsville Narwhals's Johnathan Dunlap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Chester in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match Sturtevant AFC got a corner. Natsville Narwhals's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronald McCracken ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sturtevant AFC's Ronald McCracken was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johnathan Dunlap in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Johnathan Dunlap didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Chester went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Hal Prince received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Johnathan Dunlap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Sturtevant AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hal Prince to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Ronald McCracken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sturtevant AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Natsville Narwhals the free kick. In the 74th match minute, Sturtevant AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald McCracken to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Oliver took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Childress. Allan Childress dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Sturtevant AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Perry Odom scored to the left of an out of position Allan Childress, making the score, 2-2. Ronald McCracken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Dunlap having to interfere. Allan Childress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry Odom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rocco Murdock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Allan Childress tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sturtevant AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
