Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Duane Bartley made the kick off which started today's match. Terry Espinoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shannon Brewer having to interfere. Geoffrey Schaffer hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Clay Bonilla came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Imperial Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clay Bonilla couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Terry Espinoza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shannon Brewer was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. The supporters of Imperial Beach booed when TURKISH KINGS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoffrey Schaffer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Leland Cartwright managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperial Beach's supporters rose to their feet, but Leland Cartwright was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shannon Brewer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marc Marks kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Terry Espinoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Imperial Beach fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Imperial Beach's Terry Espinoza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, TURKISH KINGS's Casey Castle got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Quincy McLean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sung Dudley took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shannon Brewer. Shannon Brewer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Imperial Beach were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Imperial Beach's Leland Cartwright got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Len Oakley came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Imperial Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Len Oakley couldn't finish the play. After 56 minutes, Casey Castle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TURKISH KINGS and the Imperial Beach players grew even worse after the yellow card. Casey Castle hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Terry Espinoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shannon Brewer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry Espinoza in the 62nd minute of the match. When Sung Dudley came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Imperial Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sung Dudley couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Darell McCullough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shannon Brewer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Espinoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Leland Cartwright blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shannon Brewer having to make a save. Terry Espinoza might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shannon Brewer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Terry Espinoza ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, TURKISH KINGS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Terry Espinoza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Terry Espinoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. TURKISH KINGS's Shannon Brewer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leland Cartwright in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in TURKISH KINGS's zone, Terry Espinoza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shannon Brewer came out of the goal and Terry Espinoza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leland Cartwright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Shannon Brewer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Clay Bonilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Darell McCullough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Neil Smart was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cory Dupree kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Imperial Beach could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TURKISH KINGS throughout the match.
