Santos Hubbard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hollins's Marvin Worley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murray Chester in the 14th minute of play. Perry Washburn hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Murray Chester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kailua's supporters rose to their feet, but Murray Chester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marvin Worley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos Hubbard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murray Chester in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marvin Worley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ben Jeffries's late challenge caught a Kailua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ben Jeffries helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hollins's Ben Jeffries got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Perry Washburn fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hollins's protests and gave Perry Washburn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kailua booed when Hollins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Washburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murray Chester in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marvin Worley saved Hollins from getting behind. Marvin Worley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murray Chester in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Perry Washburn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Hubbard in the 45th minute of play forced Hollins's goalkeeper Marvin Worley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hollins's Marvin Worley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murray Chester in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Kailua were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santos Hubbard to make the kick off. Donald Mott blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Hare having to make a save. If Deshawn Vann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernesto Hare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deshawn Vann in the 58th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Santos Hubbard took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Marvin Worley to make any attempt to save it. Donald Mott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Hare having to interfere. Deshawn Vann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Hare having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Murray Chester notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hollins's Marvin Worley. Marvin Worley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murray Chester in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marvin Worley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ernesto Hare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deshawn Vann in the 79th minute of play. Murray Chester struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Marvin Worley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kailua. Santos Hubbard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marvin Worley having to interfere. If Santos Hubbard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kailua played a much better game than Hollins and deserved their victory. The Hollins players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
