Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sanford Beard kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Son Robles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Del Newton in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Iowa AFC's Josh Clayton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trenton Boston in the 10th minute of play. Royce MacWilliams came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Iowa AFC's Sung Tyson. But to his dismay, Sung Tyson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Sung Tyson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Royce MacWilliams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Sanford Beard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Royce MacWilliams saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iowa AFC's Sung Tyson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, Iowa AFC's Virgilio Raines got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Trenton Boston might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josh Clayton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trenton Boston ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sanford Beard in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Royce MacWilliams saved Gilmer from getting behind. Royce MacWilliams made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sung Tyson in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Gilmer's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sung Tyson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Del Newton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sung Tysons short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Royce MacWilliams to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Del Newton might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josh Clayton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Del Newton ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Trenton Boston made the kick off in the second half. If Trenton Boston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Gilmer's Trenton Boston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josh Clayton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Sung Tyson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iowa AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 78th match minute, Gilmer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory Sherwood to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Sanford Beard made a precise shot to the right of Royce MacWilliams. Gilmer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Del Newton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Clayton having to interfere. Vaughn Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When Iowa AFC's Sanford Beard in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gilmer's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute Trenton Boston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josh Clayton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iowa AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gilmer for a fine match.
