An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Ryan in the 6th minute of play forced Laughlin's goalkeeper Noel Keene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Guillermo Mattson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Keene was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Colin Duncan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Riley Holliday was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Noel Keene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Mattson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colin Duncan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Riley Holliday when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Colin Duncan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Riley Holliday was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Colin Duncan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laughlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Colin Duncan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Noel Keene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Riley Holliday made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Douglass Grover sent off a good shot on target.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Keene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Wallace Sewell put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Laughlin's Wallace Sewell got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute, Guillermo Mattson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Keene was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Despite being the better team, Laughlin failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
