Aaron Hall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Pittman having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenneth Pierre got free with Carlo Pittman in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roman Busby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Quintana in the 21st minute of play. Lucas Team's Darren Quintana managed to work through Long Beach AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Darren Quintana dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. A collision led to Long Beach AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Darron Wyatt hit a great ball. Landon Bristol's late challenge caught a Lucas Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Landon Bristol helped the player get up and apologised. Wiley Dooley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Busby having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Long Beach AFC got a freekick which was hit by Landon Bristol. A hard shot 38 in the game by Kenneth Pierre from a close distance when the talented Carlo Pittman managed to make a qualified save. Lucas Team's players were relieved. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kenneth Pierre to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Wiley Dooley fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 2-1 became the score in the 63rd minute when Kenneth Pierre elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manuel Hope hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Wiley Dooley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Darren Arroyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Long Beach AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lucas Team the free kick. The goalkeeper, Roman Busby, was totally fooled by Lucas Team's Jeremy Wong, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Darren Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Roman Busby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Long Beach AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Hall. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Quintana in the 94th minute of play forced Long Beach AFC's goalkeeper Roman Busby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lucas Team had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
