Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Phillip Nickerson got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Tyrell McKinney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chance Rafferty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeffrey Kellogg hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodney Fowler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chance Rafferty. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 11th minute, Rodney Fowler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sparks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Sparks's Rodney Fowler in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye West Hollywood AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 17 played minutes, West Hollywood AFC's J.P. Betts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerald Negron came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Hollywood AFC reached it. If Darell Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyrell McKinney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnny Gibbons lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 27th match minute, Sparks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Gibbons to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute of the match, Tyrell McKinney tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chance Rafferty saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Hollywood AFC's goalkeeper Chance Rafferty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chance Rafferty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darell Lugo in the 36th minute. In the 43rd match minute, West Hollywood AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Nickerson to maneuver through the defense. Darell Lugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Chance Rafferty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darell Lugo to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game DeMarcus Ybarra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Hollywood AFC's Chance Rafferty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 54 played minutes Sparks got a freekick which was hit by Graham Lacy. Gerald Negron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Nickerson in the 56th minute of the match. German Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chance Rafferty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. German Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute, Darell Lugo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sparks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Gerald Negron came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by West Hollywood AFC's Nelson Stein. But to his dismay, Nelson Stein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by West Hollywood AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. German Lopes was slow to take the kick. During this time Sparks's players had a chance to rest. 74 minutes into the match, Sparks's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Nickerson came free, but Gerald Negron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sparks getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Royce Sizemore hit a great ball. Gerald Negron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Graham Crusher in the 77th minute. After 79 minutes, DeMarcus Ybarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sparks and the West Hollywood AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, DeMarcus Ybarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st match minute, Sparks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by DeMarcus Ybarra to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Sparks's goalkeeper Gerald Negron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Stein. DeMarcus Ybarra hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Kris Walsh hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Graham Crusher got free with Gerald Negron in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeffrey Kellogg kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Sparks walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
