Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Medford Lakes's Troy Moore slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of C.J. Wilkins. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Levi Keenan hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Emerson Huddleston took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Harmon. Leif Harmon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 17thth minute of the game Emerson Huddleston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medford Lakes's Leif Harmon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Emerson Huddleston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walbridge AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Huddleston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emerson Huddleston in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leif Harmon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kasey Dudley struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Leif Harmon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walbridge AFC. Emerson Huddleston took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Harmon. Leif Harmon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 27 played minutes Walbridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Decker. Leif Harmon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasey Dudley, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute, Andy Hines left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Medford Lakes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Stuart Decker's late challenge caught a Medford Lakes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stuart Decker helped the player get up and apologised. 41 minutes into the match, Andy Hines had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of C.J. Wilkins. Walbridge AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andy Hines was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Leif Harmon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Dudley in the 47th minute of play. If Kasey Dudley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson Huddleston was the one to do the kick off. Leif Harmon was a little too slow when Emerson Huddleston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 3-3. C.J. Wilkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When Medford Lakes's Troy Moore in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Walbridge AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Junior Bonilla kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Medford Lakes's Leif Harmon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Medford Lakes from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Walbridge AFC defense, Denny Hathaway kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of C.J. Wilkins. The Walbridge AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that C.J. Wilkins should have stopped the shot. C.J. Wilkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Troy Moore in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Pedro Pelletier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.J. Wilkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Hines in the 98th minute of play. Walbridge AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
