In the 26thth minute of the game Everett Downs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fayette FC's Rosario Petty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 29 played minutes Fayette FC got a freekick which was hit by Wade Lucas. Rosario Petty was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Everett Downs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. The tension between the Fayette FC and the United G.G players grew even worse after the yellow card. 42 minutes into the game, one of Fayette FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 46 minutes into the match, Fayette FC's goal looked a bit too open when Everett Downs came free, but Rosario Petty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Everett Downs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Tyson Clement sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rosario Petty skillfully saved the ball. Everett Downs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 minutes, Anthony Herrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the United G.G and the Fayette FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fayette FC booed when United G.G was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dante Hanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tad Lowry fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored United G.G's protests and gave Tad Lowry a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fayette FC booed when United G.G was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tad Lowry didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 played minutes Fayette FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bowser. If Tad Lowry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes of play United G.G's Tad Lowry was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 78th match minute, United G.G was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tad Lowry to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th match minute, Fayette FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Woody Bullard to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Fayette FC defense, Everett Downs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosario Petty. The Fayette FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosario Petty should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in United G.G's zone, Marcos McCollum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent Hanley came out of the goal and Marcos McCollum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. United G.G fully deserved thier win.
