When Norman Lofton fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored United G.G's protests and gave Norman Lofton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Norman Lofton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Bushnell AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Woody Bassett to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Woody Bassett during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of United G.G booed when Bushnell AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Woody Bassett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sean Burger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Hanley having to interfere. Vincent Hanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosario Castaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leif Davidson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tad Lowry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 43 in the game by Sean Burger from a close distance when the talented Vincent Hanley managed to make a qualified save. United G.G's players were relieved. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tad Lowry to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes, Bushnell AFC's Silas Gillis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vincent Hanley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bushnell AFC reached it. Tad Lowry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Davidson having to interfere. Vincent Hanley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosario Castaneda went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th match minute, Bushnell AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Woody Bassett to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Tyson Clement in the 65th minute really tested Leif Davidson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 66 minutes into the match, United G.G's Tad Lowry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leif Davidson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Everett Downs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosario Castaneda in the 69th minute of play forced United G.G's goalkeeper Vincent Hanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Bushnell AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Don Jacob, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Everett Downs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United G.G's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bushnell AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, United G.G's Everett Downs got a free kick in the 81st minute. Sean Burger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vincent Hanley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bushnell AFC's zone, Tad Lowry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif Davidson came out of the goal and Tad Lowry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rosario Castaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Rosario Castaneda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but United G.G's Vincent Hanley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bushnell AFC's Leif Davidson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Bushnell AFC from getting a goal against them. After 93 played minutes Bushnell AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emmitt Shaffer. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rosario Castaneda in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincent Hanley saved United G.G from getting behind. Rosario Castaneda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Hanley having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the United G.G players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bushnell AFC.
