Leonard McGee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aidan Dean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Aidan Dean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard McGee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Woodlyn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aidan Dean came free, but Leonard McGee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lamar McCollum was a little too slow when Armando McKay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 44th minute, Aidan Dean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando McKay was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando McKay in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lamar McCollum saved Liverpool from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Armando McKay came free, but Lamar McCollum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Collin Hart in the 56th minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper Lamar McCollum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Armando McKay came free, but Lamar McCollum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Albert Root managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodlyn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Root was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lamar McCollum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darrel Rucker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Leonard McGee made a huge save. The supporters of Liverpool booed when Woodlyn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Collin Hart didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ignacio Puckett came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Woodlyn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Puckett couldn't finish the play. Armando McKay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Claude Timmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando McKay in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lamar McCollum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Collin Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Root's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lamar McCollum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Duane McGrath's late challenge caught a Woodlyn FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duane McGrath helped the player get up and apologised. Duane McGrath hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Ignacio Puckett didn't quite understand what happened when in the 98 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Woodlyn FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
