After having played for 21 minutes, Oren Snyder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pittsburgh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oren Snyder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lenny Boyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Pittsburgh's Randall Hollingsworth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Cassidy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ruidoso's zone, Randall Hollingsworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Cassidy came out of the goal and Randall Hollingsworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antony West struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Dan Whittaker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruidoso. In the 33rd minute, Randall Hollingsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Lenny Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Cassidy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Randall Hollingsworth in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Cassidy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Randall Hollingsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Charles Cassidy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pittsburgh's Nick Parrish suffered a sore thigh after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 46 minutes into the game, Garth Barger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Charles Cassidy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 70th minute, Randall Hollingsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenny Boyle might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Cassidy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Nesbitt in the 78th minute of play forced Ruidoso's goalkeeper Charles Cassidy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Hollingsworth in the 85th minute of play forced Ruidoso's goalkeeper Charles Cassidy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ramon Nesbitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randall Hollingsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
