In the 10th minute, Cliff Kay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Foster Braun fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tahata FC's protests and gave Foster Braun a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 minutes, Alexis Farrell made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Chester Heights's Filiberto Bruce tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 22 played minutes Tahata FC got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Rankin. If Cliff Kay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chester Heights booed when Tahata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Rankin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rob Lacey kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tahata FC's zone, Rickie Kimble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Dennis came out of the goal and Rickie Kimble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tahata FC's Alexis Farrell, in the 37th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Tahata FC. With a little luck, Chester Heights's Filiberto Bruce got control of the ball when Stefan Rankin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cliff Kay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Holmes made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chester Heights's goalkeeper Filiberto Bruce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rickie Kimble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Dennis having to interfere. Filiberto Bruce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Farrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes in the game, Alexis Farrell dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Tahata FC's Ray Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Holmes in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Chester Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Rankin came free, but Filiberto Bruce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Benito Holmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Dennis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filiberto Bruce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis Farrell's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When Rickie Kimble fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chester Heights's protests and gave Rickie Kimble a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Chester Heights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickie Kimble to maneuver through the defense. Tahata FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
