Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rolf Tinsley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Palmer Bearden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Tinsley in the 15th minute of play forced Oriental Dragon FC's goalkeeper Henry Lyon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Daniel Hammer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd match minute, Oriental Dragon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Doss to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carson Varner in the 24th minute of play forced Oriental Dragon FC's goalkeeper Henry Lyon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Thomas Stroud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denny Hammons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Decorah's Denny Hammons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Frye in the 28th minute of play. Rolf Tinsley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Henry Lyon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Lyon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Tinsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marvin Frye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Hammons having to interfere. A collision led to Decorah getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Louis Spangler hit a great ball. Sanford Gauthier kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Tinsley in the 43rd minute of play forced Oriental Dragon FC's goalkeeper Henry Lyon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Tinsley charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolf Tinsley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Decorah's Rolf Tinsley got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Thomas Stroud made the kick off in the second half. Marvin Frye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Hammons having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Denny Hammons, was totally fooled by Oriental Dragon FC's Norman Doss, who 55 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thomas Stroud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Denny Hammons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmer Bearden in the 67th minute of play forced Oriental Dragon FC's goalkeeper Henry Lyon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmer Bearden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Lyon having to interfere. Henry Lyon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Tinsley in the 73rd minute of play. Decorah's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carson Varner in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terry Gold during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Decorah booed when Oriental Dragon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Gold didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Palmer Bearden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Decorah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palmer Bearden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oriental Dragon FC's Marvin Frye got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Decorah's Rolf Tinsley got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marvin Frye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Oriental Dragon FC's zone, Palmer Bearden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Lyon came out of the goal and Palmer Bearden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oriental Dragon FC played a much better game than Decorah and deserved their victory. The Decorah players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
