A hard shot by Trenton Frost from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Ricardo Cronin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Evan Keyes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Cronin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Culpeper FC's Quintin McPherson got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thanh Bailey's shot from long distance in the 15th minute was not bad at all, but Culpeper FC's Ricardo Cronin knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Benjamin Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quintin McPherson's late challenge caught a Eupora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quintin McPherson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute of the match Thanh Bailey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Cronin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Micah Daly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eupora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Micah Daly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Micah Daly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ricardo Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evan Keyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Cronin having to make a save. 29 minutes into the match, Culpeper FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Cronin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evan Keyes. The supporters of Eupora booed when Culpeper FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quintin McPherson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, Culpeper FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Craft to maneuver through the defense. Dwight Rasmussen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Dietz in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Eupora booed when Culpeper FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachary Dietz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roscoe Newman made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Culpeper FC's zone, Micah Daly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Cronin came out of the goal and Micah Daly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Esparza hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micah Daly in the 59th minute of play forced Culpeper FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Cronin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eupora's Dwight Rasmussen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roscoe Newman in the 63rd minute of play. Roscoe Newman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwight Rasmussen having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Roscoe Newman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Culpeper FC and the Eupora players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Roscoe Newman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roscoe Newman got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Roscoe Newman kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Evan Keyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ricardo Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Evan Keyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Cronin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Daly in the 90th minute of the match. Benjamin Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwight Rasmussen having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Eupora's Micah Daly nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Cronin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
