Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucien Jeffries started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Lucien Jeffries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Guinn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10thth minute of the game Lucien Jeffries who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but American Canyon AFC's Todd Guinn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Todd Guinn came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Lake Wylie AFC's Arnold Crain. But to his dismay, Arnold Crain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of American Canyon AFC booed when Lake Wylie AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Lundy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Redding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Troy Regan in the 16th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leland Tabor during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Lake Wylie AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leland Tabor. After 23 played minutes American Canyon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Terence Gil. In the 27th minute Lucien Jeffries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Guinn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucien Jeffries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Todd Guinn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lake Wylie AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kenny Groves hit a great ball. If Troy Regan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lake Wylie AFC's goalkeeper Salvador Redding, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Lake Wylie AFC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Goldsmith. Todd Guinn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien Jeffries in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Troy Regan in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Redding prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Lake Wylie AFC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Leland Tabor hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, one of Lake Wylie AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 61 minutes of play, Lake Wylie AFC's Lucien Jeffries made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Todd Guinn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lake Wylie AFC's Salvador Redding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Lake Wylie AFC from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, Lake Wylie AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Terence Gil came free, but Salvador Redding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Troy Regan came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the American Canyon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Troy Regan couldn't finish the play. Lucien Jeffries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Todd Guinn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Arnold Crain came up free with the goalie in the 101st minute, the Lake Wylie AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Crain couldn't finish the play.
