The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Pine Grove FC's Anton Calhoun got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Brookside's Damon Newsome got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cody Ramey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pine Grove FC booed when Brookside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marshall Baggett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Branch kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Marshall Baggett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cody Ramey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brookside's supporters rose to their feet, but Cody Ramey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jackson Isaac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Branch's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Harry Hopper firmly grabbed it by the left post. 26 minutes into the match, Brookside's goal looked a bit too open when Ezra Gustafson came free, but Harry Hopper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Pine Grove FC defense, Cody Ramey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jackson Isaac. The Pine Grove FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jackson Isaac should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Ezra Gustafson made the kick off in the second half. Hank Melton kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 56 played minutes, Pine Grove FC's Sanford Dyer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Harry Hopper came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pine Grove FC reached it. After 57 minutes, Hank Melton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brookside and the Pine Grove FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 56 minutes into the game, one of Brookside:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Titus Rice placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 68 minutes of play, Brookside's Cody Ramey made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jackson Isaac was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hank Melton kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Brookside's Harry Hopper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezra Gustafson in the 74th minute of play. Harry Hopper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Branch in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Pine Grove FC's Jackson Isaac got control of the ball when Cody Ramey tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Brookside booed when Pine Grove FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Paul didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Myles Newman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jackson Isaac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damon Newsome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jackson Isaac having to interfere. Harry Hopper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordan Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Brookside players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
