Patrick Russ took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Sadler. Alexandria FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. George Blum's late challenge caught a Songmingiisthe best's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Blum helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Songmingiisthe best booed when Alexandria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Blum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Sadler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Spangler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st match minute, Alexandria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jermaine Bonilla to maneuver through the defense. Warren Crozier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaiah Valentine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ricardo Sadler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurice Lopes was the one to do the kick off. If Warren Crozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaiah Valentine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Sadler having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandria FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Sadler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Songmingiisthe best's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Knutson came free, but Cesar Cody reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Isaiah Valentine took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ricardo Sadler to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Alexandria FC's Maurice Lopes got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Jarod Beebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandria FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Sadler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isaiah Valentine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaiah Valentine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Sadler having to make a save. When Warren Crozier came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Songmingiisthe best fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Crozier couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Isaiah Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Songmingiisthe best's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaiah Valentine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Alexandria FC's Ricardo Sadler got control of the ball when Warren Crozier tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute, Warren Crozier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Songmingiisthe best left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Alexandria FC.
