Ahmed Flanagan made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Miles Summers sent off a good shot on target. 6 minutes into the game, Miles Summers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ahmed Flanagan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Noel Stokes fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Webster Groves's protests and gave Noel Stokes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Webster Groves getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Cliff Byrd hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Quinn Nguyen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Quinn Nguyen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Flanagan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Webster Groves's goal looked a bit too open when Miles Summers came free, but Ahmed Flanagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Noel Stokes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miles Summers's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ahmed Flanagan firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Colonia booed when Webster Groves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abe Robles didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Quinn Nguyen from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Ahmed Flanagan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 23rd match minute, Webster Groves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Byrd to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Phillip Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Flanagan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmed Flanagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Pool in the 29th minute of the match. Willy Pool struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ahmed Flanagan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colonia. 35 minutes into the game, Willy Pool cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ahmed Flanagan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Landon Workman during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ahmed Flanagan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willy Pool's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Landon Workman made a kick off. Webster Groves's Ahmed Flanagan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willy Pool in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Willy Pool managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Willy Pool was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Flanagan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Landon Workman got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 73rd minute, Landon Workman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Milton Swanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton Swanson was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Shelton Lassiter capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shelton Lassiter really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 85th match minute, Colonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Perkins to maneuver through the defense. Noel Stokes was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Webster Groves getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Noel Stokes hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Adolfo Veltman made a precise shot to the right of Ahmed Flanagan. Webster Groves's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. There was no doubt that Colonia were the better team. Colonia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
