Everett Jacobsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Joey Zeigler slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. Joey Zeigler kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Roodhouse booed when Massapequa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monroe Starks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Rob Craven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ezra Bowen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rob Craven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezra Bowen having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Claude Pickens put in a rough tackle. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Massapequa! Greg Godfrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ezra Bowen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Massapequa's zone, Rob Craven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezra Bowen came out of the goal and Rob Craven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Napoleon Ulrich to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rob Craven got free with Ezra Bowen in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 63 in the game by Rob Craven from a close distance when the talented Ezra Bowen managed to make a qualified save. Massapequa's players were relieved. In the 88th match minute, Massapequa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey Zeigler to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Mixon hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Rob Craven shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezra Bowen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Monroe Starks fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Massapequa's protests and gave Monroe Starks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Monroe Starks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezra Bowen was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Rob Craven capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rob Craven really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The Massapequa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Roodhouse were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
