Leon Ruff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Shockley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Genoa CFC's Reynaldo Witherspoon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hal Beam. Hal Beam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rudolph Park was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. Rex Shockley might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Ruff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rex Shockley ran back to his position shaking his head. Van Goode received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Leon Ruff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Van Goode scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Ruff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rex Shockley struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Leon Ruff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Youngboys FC. Leon Ruff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Van Goode in the 44th minute of play. When Youngboys FC's Rex Shockley in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Genoa CFC's goalie prevented a goal. The Genoa CFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Youngboys FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rex Shockley to make the kick off. Ricky Doty charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 70th match minute, Genoa CFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quinn Lowry to maneuver through the defense. Genoa CFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Cyrus Dillard scored to the left of an out of position Leon Ruff, making the score, 1-4. Genoa CFC's Bradley Bolton got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Quinn Lowry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genoa CFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Youngboys FC the free kick. The supporters of Genoa CFC booed when Youngboys FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Rouse didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Genoa CFC's Leon Ruff got control of the ball when Van Goode tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erik Hess fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Ruff having to interfere.
