Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Sheets in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lewis Parish prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingo Askew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Peachey in the 18th minute. Von Carbajal hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Marcus Sheets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes, Hunter Locke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burlingame Football Club and the Fairfield Glade players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Sheets in the 35th minute of play forced Burlingame Football Club's goalkeeper Lewis Parish to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Clark Woodson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Burlingame Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clark Woodson couldn't finish the play. Domingo Askew stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clark Woodson's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Sheets to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcus Sheets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Lewis Parish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burlingame Football Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
