Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Art Butler started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Dwight Payton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corydon's supporters rose to their feet, but Dwight Payton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zachery Chan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dwight Payton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Art Butler scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zachery Chan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Corydon's zone, Monty Eddy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cliff Guzman came out of the goal and Monty Eddy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Dwight Payton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zachery Chan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dwight Payton went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Pine Island AFC's zone, Jefferson Myrick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachery Chan came out of the goal and Jefferson Myrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Art Butler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pine Island AFC's zone, Dwight Payton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachery Chan came out of the goal and Dwight Payton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dwight Payton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachery Chan having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Dwight Payton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zachery Chan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sterling Gunn to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Pine Island AFC got a freekick which was hit by J.C. Ashley. Zachery Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art Butler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sterling Gunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Myrick in the 77th minute of play forced Pine Island AFC's goalkeeper Zachery Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dwight Payton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachery Chan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dwight Payton in the 80th minute of play forced Pine Island AFC's goalkeeper Zachery Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Benjamin Byrne notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Corydon's Cliff Guzman. Cliff Guzman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 89 minutes, Dwight Payton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corydon and the Pine Island AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pine Island AFC booed when Corydon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Payton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Dwight Payton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dwight Payton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Zachery Chan made a huge save.
